"Committed to educationally and socially
 empowering women and girls,
 particularly of African descent"

MISSION

The Delta Gateway Foundation, Inc. is a philanthropic organization that exists to support educational and social initiatives that empower individuals, particularly women of African descent.

HISTORY

In January 1996, the Cincinnati Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. established the CACDST Committee. The Committee was tasked with managing proceeds from the sale of real estate that the chapter had owned. In 2003, that effort evolved into a new group that began the research and laid the groundwork to establish the Delta Gateway Foundation (DGF). In November 2004, Delta Gateway Foundation, Inc. was officially awarded 501(c)(3) status. DGF generally funds grants for girls and women that promote the following:

  • Educational and scholastic achievement

  • Social well being and quality of life

  • Youth development and social change
